We are now all settled in at the Hotel Merced in Antigua. Everyone in the first wave made it safe and sound, with no missing luggage!! The rest will be joining us before supper. Now a few of the inrepid are venturing out for a stroll.
The weather is great, none of the rain (yet) that has been plaguing the country. Sunshine is the order of the day.
One interesting note on our drive from the airport to Antigua was a guy dressed in a fireman outfit selling cerveza and soda to the cars waiting in the lineup. Apparently the firemen also do ambulance type work, so the suggestion from our driver was that they were just out drumming up business!!
So - all is well. The biggest problem I had so far was figuring out how to finf the át´sign on the spanish keyboard with sticky keys and rubbed-off letters. It is ALT GR plus Q if anyone is interested.
